Course Description:

Students learn about and develop skills related to safety; hand and shop tool usage, aerodynamics and flight theory; aircraft design and manufacturing; aircraft inspection, maintenance and repair processes. All students perform applied work on the programs general aviation aircraft. Second year students study electrical system theory and perform additional applied work in electrical systems. All work is done under the supervision of the instructor who is also a FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic. Personal safety, teamwork, communication skills and leadership are integral to this course.
