Course Description:
The course introduces students to the responsibilities and duties expected of a Bilingual Paraeducator. Classroom study includes building expertise in spoken and written language skills in English and in Spanish. Students will participate in Supervised Practicum hours at local elementary schools to gain hands on experience. The course also covers working with and translating for parents. Student feedback and academic assessment is an integral part of the course via use of cooperative team feedback and daily written exercises and activities.
