The Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC) and
YV Tech are launching the state’s first cohort of Automation
Technician Youth Apprenticeships this spring!
How Can A Student Benefit From Youth Apprenticeship?
AJAC Youth Apprentices will receive tuition-free college credits from a
local technical college. This program is a combination of paid on-the-job
training (part-time) and college-level classroom instruction. This is a
no-cost program to qualified participants. Upon completion, students will
receive industry recognized journey-level certification as an Automation
What Will They Learn?
Through 1:1 mentorship, Youth Apprentices will use state-of-the-art
equipment to develop new products, technologies – and their skill-set.
Youth Apprentices will become proficient in: run, repair and maintain
computer controlled systems and robotic devices used within industrial
and commercial facilities.
